E. coli host expressing 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) deaminse from the recA promoter.
Strain was derived from JHM-544 (ATCC 12911), an Ile auxotroph, by chromosomal integration of the ACC deaminase using cre-lox-mediated recombination.
